PATA reports that Japan Airlines (JAL) is set to decrease capacity of international routes by cutting flight frequency and opting to use smaller aircrafts from April 6-27, 2011. This decision was made in light of the travel demand decrease after the Tohoku Pacific Earthquake. Canada Mexico Market Up 27% in December 2010
The Canadian Tourism Commission (CTC) reports optimism for the Mexico market.
The latest figures from the CTC for December 2010 showed a 27% year-on-year boost in visitor numbers. Working with Air Canada, the CTC is executing a spring campaign to encourage Mexican travellers to visit Canada with special deals and new direct flights from Mexico City to Montréal, QC, Toronto, ON, and Vancouver, BC. United States 2010 International Visitation Sets New Record
United States 2010 The U.S. Department of Commerce today announced that 60 million international visitors traveled to the United States in 2010, a nine percent increase over 2009. ITB Berlin kicked off today with more than 10,000 exhibitors expecting 100,000 guests.
During the first day we met several tourism organizations who are optimistic about growth in the tourism industry over the next 12 months. International arrivals in Europe this year is forecasted to rise by one to three per cent, while IPK International predicts a one to two per cent increase in travel within Europe.
