21% surge in 2010 visitor numbers is just the beginning, says latest CTC Global Tourism Watch report.

The U.S. Department of Commerce today announced that 3.9 million international visitors traveled to the United States in February 2011, a four percent increase over February 2010. February 2011 registered the 17th straight month of increases in total U.S. visits. The U.S. Department of Commerce recently announced that international visitors spent an estimated $11.6 billion on travel to, and tourism-related activities within, the United States during the month of February - nearly $970 million more (9%) than was spent in February 2010 - marking the fourteenth straight month of growth in U.S. travel and tourism exports.
