United States International Visitation Up Four Percent in June 2011

The U.S. Department of Commerce today announced that 4.9 million international visitors traveled to the United States in June 2011, a four percent increase over June 2010. For the first six months of 2011, visitation (28.6 million) was up five percent compared to the same period in 2010.

18 Consecutive Months of Growth For United States Inbound International Travel

The U.S. Department of Commerce recently announced that international visitors spent nearly $12.5 billion on travel to, and tourism-related activities within, the United States during the month of June - $1.0 billion more (9%) than was spent in June 2010 - marking the eighteenth straight month of growth in U.S. travel and tourism exports. Travel and tourism-related exports have increased, on average, more than $1.3 billion a month in 2011.
